As we close out the fourth quarter of 2023, Sensor Tower provides an insightful look into the performance of top geolocation games on Android in Australia. Here's how the leading titles fared during this period.

Pokémon GO maintained its popularity with a steady weekly active user count, peaking at around 180K users in late September and then seeing a dip to approximately 145K by the end of December. Downloads showed a slight increase in the festive period, rising from around 2K to nearly 3K, while revenues saw a decrease from roughly 88K USD to 60K USD in the same timeframe.

Niantic's recent release, Monster Hunter Now, experienced fluctuations in its first quarter after launch. Weekly active users had a high in early December at around 18K, contrasting with a low point of approximately 11K towards the end of the quarter. Downloads peaked at over 5K in early October but dropped significantly to just a few hundred in the subsequent weeks. Revenue followed a similar pattern, starting at about 17K USD and falling to under 6K USD by the year's end.

Jurassic World Alive by Jam City, Inc. also showed variable performance with weekly active users starting at roughly 1.4K and ending at around 865. The game's revenue trended downwards from approximately 4.5K USD to just under 3K USD, and downloads saw a decline from 607 to 185 throughout the quarter.

Pikmin Bloom, another Niantic title, saw its weekly active users decrease from about 2.2K to 1.5K. The game's revenue remained relatively low but consistent, with an initial figure of around 1K USD dipping to 1K USD by the quarter's end, while downloads varied with no clear trend.

Lastly, Ingress Prime showed the most modest numbers among the top geolocation games. Weekly active users hovered just above 100 throughout the quarter, while downloads remained around the low twenties. Revenue peaked at a little over 1K USD in mid-October, then stabilized around 700 USD by December.
